Performance Testing of Imaging Equipment

OSI provides Quality Control physics testing of diagnostic x-ray and Magnetic Resonance Imaging equipment.  We test and provide recommendations on medical imaging equipment, including these categories:

Fixed and portable medical x-ray
Fluoroscopic X-ray
Computed Tomography (CT)
Mammography
Magnetic Resonance Imaging
Nuclear Medicine Imaging
Dental intraoral x-ray (fixed and portable)
Panoramic dental x-ray

OSI uses calibrated state-of-the-art test equipment manufactured by Radcal Corporation.  Our Accu-Gold system is the next generation x-ray measurement system, at the heart of which is a compact multi-functional digitizer module and powerful, intuitive software.

Our system uses the latest technology in solid state sensors, gold standard ion chamber sensors, and light sensors.  This equipment increases our productivity through quick setup, ease of use, automatic settings, multiple parameter data capture, and easy data analysis. The system also includes calibrated light sensors for testing the performance of Acquisition Workstation Monitors (AWS) and Reviewing Workstation Monitors (RWS), as well as the output of light fields on x-ray tables.

OSI also provides American College of Radiology (ACR) services, helping our medical clients receive and maintain important accreditations.

We also provide shielding reports to architects, design-builders and radiology departments. We provide the calculated shielding thickness values of gypsum, concrete or lead required to assist in obtaining building permits and providing a safe facility.
