Hazardous Materials Inventory Statement (HMIS) Report
OSI owns a custom-designed Microsoft Access database that has been continually improved, updated, and amended over 30 years to reflect the current California Fire Code. Over 257,000 chemicals are currently recognized and classified by their Chemical Abstract Service Number (CAS No.) in OSI’s database. The foundation of OSI’s HMIS Report is the Physical Hazard Summary and Health Hazard Summary reports produced. These reports quantify the amount of material in each fire code hazard classification and compare them to the Maximum Allowable Quantities (MAQ) per control area. HMIS reports are required by many local fire departments for construction permits and during annual fire inspections.
