Our goal at OSI is to ensure that our clients experience zero interruption in service or quality from the recent death of our Vice President, Jeff Silvers.

I am pleased to announce that OSI has hired Chad Hansen as our new Director of EH&S Services.  Chad comes to OSI with over 13 years of experience in the biotechnology industry.  He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management and a Master’s degree in Public Health (Industrial Hygiene).  Chad is also credentialed with the following certifications:  Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), and Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE).

Chad served in the U.S. Air Force as a firefighter for four years.  After being honorably discharged, he attended college to become an EHS professional.  He began his EHS career at OSI in January of 2000. As an OSI employee, Chad functioned as the on-site EHS Manager for multiple biotechnology companies in San Diego.  After six years at OSI, he accepted a position as a Senior EHS Consultant with Environmental & Occupational Risk Management (EORM).  Chad’s role at EORM was focused on highly technical industrial hygiene consulting and sales.  Nearly a year later, he accepted a position with Amgen as a Senior Manager of EHS.  As a senior member of Amgen’s world class EHS program, Chad obtained a great deal of knowledge around EHS management systems, behavioral safety, quality systems, and overall project management.

One of Chad’s responsibilities at OSI will be to manage the EH&S division.  This will include ensuring that OSI’s clients receive only high quality work that is always delivered to the client by the agreed upon deadline.  Chad will also bring world-class EH&S program elements to OSI and offer those services to clients.
