Decommissioning Services

Decommissioning services consists of the radioactive materials license termination of particular facilities. There are many different reasons why a facility might require decommissioning in any given industry, but it typically takes place when operations have come to a halt due to company relocation or closure. The objective is to keep future occupants safe with a timely release of facilities. At Occupational Services, our highly experienced Health Physicists take the lead on each phase of decommissioning projects.

OSI follows federal standards and guidelines (MARSSIMS) in the decommissioning of radioactive use areas.  OSI has decommissioned hundreds of facilities in the past 30 years.  We can provide:

  • Historical Site Assessments
  • Scoping and Characterization Surveys
  • Decommissioning Plans
