OSI Achieves ISO 17025 Certification

OSI is proud to announce that we have recently achieved the stringent ISO 17025 certification for the services we provide.
The scope of this certification is comprehensive and covers the services required by our marketplace. Our certification scope covers the testing of ventilation devices (BSC's, fume hoods, clean rooms, etc.) as well as testing and calibration of radiation detection instruments and the analysis and identification of radioactive materials according to ANSI standards. Among the scope of services certified are:
- Testing and calibration of radiation detection systems.
- Cs-137 source exposure rate calibrations and pulse rate calibration of count-rate instruments with detector efficiencies.
- Identifying and quantifying unknown radionuclides.
- Biological safety cabinet field testing.
- Laminar flow testing.
- Fume hood field testing.
- Clean room testing (viable and non-viable particle counting).

ISO 9001 certification included in this certification
Worth noting is that the scope of our certification states, "the management system requirements in ISO/IEC 17025:2005 (Section 4) are written in language relevant to laboratory operations and meet the principles of ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems."
We are very proud to have achieved this certification. The ISO 17025 certification standard is very stringent and rigorous. To be certified in multiple areas shows that we are dedicated to the highest standards in both environmental testing and radiation detection.
